Nicolas Weill

Nicolas Weill, born in 1957, has been a journalist for Le Monde since 1995. He is currently one of the hosts of the Débats section. He frequently works for Le Monde des Livres, in particular in the Essay and Foreign Literature sections, as well as for the review Critique. A graduate of the École Normale Supérieure (rue d’Ulm), he is also a Hebrew, English, and German translator. His works include several essays on anti-Semitism and intellectual history. His most recently published translation (from the Hebrew) is of Israeli historian Israel Jacob Yuval’s “Deux peuples en ton sein.” Juifs et chrétiens au Moyen-Âge (Albin Michel, 2012).
