Jean Viard (France), sociologist, is a research director at the CNRS, in the Sciences Po Political Research Center (CEVIPOF). His areas of expertise are social time (holidays, 35-hour working week), but also space (settlements and agricultural questions) and politics. He is the former president of the tourism forecasting groups within the Commissariat au Plan and the Datar.
