BIOGRAPHIE

Sebastian Roché is a director of research at the CNRS, head of the pole “Security and Cohesion” and a teacher at the National Police Academy (St Cyr au Mont d’Or), and an expert adviser to the United Nations (PNUD) for Security Sector Reform. He is a specialist in the comparative analysis of police systems, and in particular police-minority relationships. In Le Frisson de l’émeute, he suggests we rethink the way in which police institutions operate in the face of riots.
