Jonathan Metzl (USA), sociologist and psychiatrist, teaches at Vanderbilt University (Tennessee) where he is the Director of the Center for Medicine, Health, and Society. A 2008 Guggenheim fellow, he has written several articles and books on mental health, violence, and public health issues.
