Gérard Mauger is a sociologist, emeritus director of research at the CNRS, researcher at the European Center for Sociology and Political Science Centre (CNRS-EHESS-Paris I), and a member of the Savoir/Agir association. His research has covered youth, deviance, and cultural and intellectual practices.
