Biography

A graduate of the École normale supérieure of the rue d’Ulm and holder of a teaching credential in philosophy, Frédérique Ildefonse is a director of research at the CNRS. In 1999 she was awarded the CNRS bronze medal. Coming from philosophy, and especially ancient philosophy, she attaches great importance to making connections between anthropology and philosophy. Her research concerns mainly logic and grammar in Ancient Greece, interiority and polytheism, stoicism, and religious anthropology.
