Biography
Emmanuel Hoog presided the National Audiovisual Institute from 2001 to 2010, working to safeguard and highlight the French audiovisual heritage by speeding up the digitization of the archives and launching the ina.fr site. The son of public museum curators, he was previously a high-level official who, dismissed from the Ministry of Culture, worked at the Théâtre national de l’Odéon, the Piccolo Teatro in Milan, the National Assembly, and the Ministry of the Economy, Finances and lndustry. A poetry lover, he created the Poetry Festival of the Haut-Allier. He has been the president of Agence France-Presse since May 2010.
