A philosopher and alumnus of ENS of Fontenay Saint-Cloud, Michaël Fœssel succeeded Alain Finkielkraut in the chair of philosophy at the École Polytechnique in September 2014, after having begun teaching there in 2013. He is also a member of the editorial committee of Esprit.
