Gérald Bronner (France), sociologist, teaches at the University Paris-Diderot. He has published many scientific works on the emergence and disappearance of collective beliefs, as well as on human cognition. In 2004, for L’empire des croyances, he received the Adrien Duvand prize from the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences, and in January 2014 won the Sophie Barluet prize for his book La démocratie des crédules. This prize rewards groundbreaking works in human and social sciences.
