BiographY

Luc Boltanski, a sociologist, is director of studies at EHESS, where in 1985 he created the Political and Moral Sociology Group, of which he is still a member. He conducts research on the sociology of the meaning of justice and criticism. He has published, in particular, De la critique. Une sociologie de l’émancipation (Gallimard, 2009), highlighting the mechanisms of domination in contemporary democratic, capitalist societies.
