BIOGRAPHY
Jean-Godefroy Bidima, is a philosopher and teaches at Tulane University (New Orleans). His research concerns continental philosophy, Francophone literature and art, African philosophies, legal anthropology, and medical ethics. He is the author, in particular, of La Philosophie négro-africaine (PUF, 1995), L’Art négro- africain (PUF, 1997) and La Palabre : une juridiction de la parole (Michalon, 1997). He was a resident of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Nantes and a EURIAS (European Institutes of Advanced Studies) laureate.
