François-Xavier Bellamy is agrégé in philosophy. After two stints in ministerial cabinets (Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Culture and Communication), he left office to teach high school. He is currently deputy mayor of Versailles in charge of youth, secondary and post-secondary education, and employment.
