Alain Bauer,holds the chair in criminology at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers and teaches at several French universities, the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York, and the University of Law in Beijing. He is a former president of the steering committee of the French observatory on crime (Conseil d’orientation de l’observatoire national de la délinquance) and has published, in particular, Vidéosurveillance et vidéo-protection (Que sais-je, PUF, 2012).
