Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak is an Indian intellectual and university professor in the United States who resists any and all labels. Mainly known in France for her role as figurehead of postcolonial studies and for her translation of Derrida, she has developed a rich and astonishing reflection on various topics such as issues of gender, translation, teaching in the humanities, world literature, globalization, justice, and democracy.
She will be evoking her career in a dialogue with the historian Anne Verjus.
