In fifty years, globalization has transformed human societies and the environments in which they live. In L’Avènement du monde (Seuil, 2013), Michel Lussault describes the challenge posed by having our ways of living, and as a result, our ways of thinking, shaken up. Beyond the internationalization of social, economic, and political exchanges, the author examines the new spatial organization of social realities. By producing new imaginary worlds, it requires each of us to analyze our relationship to the world: how should we live in it, think about it, organize it?

A geographer and professor at the University of Lyon, Michel Lussault has published, in particular, L’Homme spatial (Seuil, 2007) and De la lutte des classes à la lutte des places (Grasset, 2009).
He will have a conversation with Sylvain Bourmeau, a journalist with Libération, and Mathieu Potte-Bonneville, a philosopher and specialist on Michel Foucault.
