Born in 1964, Frédéric Worms, is a professor of philosophy at the University of Lille 3 and director of the Centre international d’étude de la philosophie française contemporaine at ENS (Paris).
His research concerns Bergson’s work, which is the subject of several collective projects he heads up : editor of the Annales bergsoniennes, he is also responsible for the critical edition of Bergson published by PUF and president of the Société des amis de Bergson. Worms is working on the history of twentieth-century philosophy in France, in particular through the idea of moment. He is also interested in the issue of essential and moral relations today. A member of the committee of Esprit, he writes a regular column entitled “Á quoi tenons nous?”
