Born in 1956, Anne Vantal first worked for both the news media and various publishers. In this context, she authored documentary works and several beautiful books on highly varied topics.
In 2003 she decided to turn to children’s literature and published Pourquoi j’ai pas les yeux bleus ? In 2005, her second novel, Chère Théo, was awarded the Sorcières prize.
Since then, through her novels for children and teens, she has explored topics that are important to her, such as family relationships, the relationship to identity, and the construction of one’s personality during childhood. She is also the author of two plays, one of which is for children.
