Born in Madagascar, he arrived in France when he was 22. A professor and journalist, he has participated in a number of literary and educational events. He is also a collection director for Vents d’ailleurs. Since 2002 he has devoted himself to research and writing. He is the author of novels, poems, and plays, including Le Puits (Actes Sud, 1997), Za (Philippe Rey, 2008), Les cauchemars du gecko (Vents d'Ailleurs, 2011), and Il n’y a plus de pays (Vents d’ailleurs, 2013).
