Born in Douala, Max Lobe arrived in Switzerland when he was 18, studied in Lugano, then moved to Geneva. He published the story L’Enfant du Miracle (éditions des Sauvages) in 2011, followed by 39 Rue de Berne (Zoé, 2013), which depicts the lives of illegal immigrants in Geneva’s famous rue de Berne. With La Trinité bantoue, he clarifies and deepens his inventive, sparkling, visual writing. Max Lobe also keeps a blog, “Les cahiers bantous”, on which he regularly publishes news.
