Fiction is full of brothers and sisters, spouses, parents, and children. Their love, conflicts, and wounds provide an endless supply of inspiration for fiction as well as for psychoanalysis. We often think we know all there is to know about these ties, but novelists manage to conjure new facets which were unknown to us and to psychoanalysis.
