Paolo Giordano was born in Turin in 1982 and holds a Ph.D. in theoretical physics. He received the Strega Prize in 2008 for his first novel, La Solitude des nombres premiers, which was translated in numerous countries. Le corps humain is his second novel. Giordano also contributes to several Italian newspapers.
