A programming adviser at France Culture from 1991 to 1999, Claude Eveno was also an editorialist at L'Architecture d'Aujourd'hui from 1994 to 1998. From 2000 to 2004, he was editor-in-chief of Monumental, a scientific and technical review concerning historical monuments. Director of research at the French School for Industrial Creation from 2002 to 2008 and a member of the Research Council of the Visual Arts Delegation to the Ministry of Culture from 2004 to 2008, he has been a professor at the French School of Nature and Landscaping since 2000. Eveno is the author of four books on landscaping, space, and zoning, as well as one novel, and has supervised the editing and design of collective works published by the Pompidou Center. He is also the author of roughly twenty short and medium-length films.
His first novel, Un Monde avant - voyages intérieurs dans la peinture, is a personal artistic encyclopedia that makes connections between art that is virtual, on paper, and in museums. A pantheon of works unfolds in a history of biographical, initiation-related, emotional art.
