A philosopher and art historian, Georges Didi-Huberman has been teaching at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales since 1990. He has written more than thirty books on the history and theory of images, drawing on his knowledge of psychoanalysis. He has worked extensively on the relationships among history, memory, stories, and images, from the Renaissance to contemporary art.
