Nickolas Butler was born in 1979 in Pennsylvania. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Shotgun Lovesongs, his first novel, is being translated in ten countries and received the Page/America Prize in France in 2014. He has also written many other essays and short stories (not yet translated into French).
