A writer and philosopher, his La Maison des anges (Grasset, 2013) is a dark fable about the relationship between the Parisian bourgeois and tramps and the homeless. In his essay Misère de la prospérité (Grasset, 2002), he dismisses both neoliberals and anti-capitalists, considering them victims of a religious illusion that places the economy above society, out of harm’s way.
